As many of you know, I have an 8y/o in the Cub Scouts. And every year the boys go door-to-door selling popcorn to raise money for the Pack. I make it a point that Jay do all the selling as opposed to me doing the work for him. So we hoof it door-to-door and he does his spiel and I take the orders. I also take him to the office too -but same deal -he has to sell it. 

And he’s pretty good at it.

Last year he raised around $800. Which entitled him to attend a party at Chuck E. Cheese as well as getting a $20 gift card from Amazon. Needless to say, he was pretty pumped about that. Especially the gift card business -all of which I kept a secret from him as I wanted him get a sense of the doing something for a good cause -and not just solely for his own direct benefit.

This year I could only take him out a couple times because I had to spend every spare moment getting the house we bought (Yay!) into move-in condition.

Faced with the dilemma of having reached only half his goal -and me with no time to take him out a couple more times to achieve it -we bought 37 bags of $10 caramel corn so he could reach his goal but only under the understanding that he’d have to sell those.

So here we are. And here’s where you come in. 

Will you spend $10 on some delicious caramel corn? 

 Of course you will. Because you are awesome. And he is awesome. 

And if you’re in the continental US I”ll even pay shipping. That’s how awesome I am.
